Unique in its complexity and history, Luneta's Papalometl (a. potatorum) permeates suede leather, sweet cream and barly. Crafted by master distiller Abdias De La Luz Rodriguez in Tepenene, Puebla, this potatorum agave varietal is roasted with eucalyptus in an underground earthen oven, fermented twice in bull hide vats and hand milled with wooden mallets. Abdias uses a copper still for the first distillation. In the second distillation he deploys a stainless steel pot and a hollowed out coral tree trunk for as the neck of the still. Only 260 bottles were produced of this precious spirit coming in at 47% alc.vol.

  • We visit and build personal relationships with all mezcaleros we purchase from. The producers we collaborate with belong to  families that have been crafting traditional agave spirits for at least three generations.  They utilize stills with a capacity of 250 liter or less. No two batches are ever the same.
